After hitting physical media this week, Weapons is coming to HBO Max next Friday, October 24.
Written and directed by Zach Cregger (Barbarian), the hit horror film earned more than $136 million at the U.S. box office and over $239 million worldwide.
When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.
Julia Garner (Wolf Man), Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Austin Abrams (“The Walking Dead”), Cary Christopher (Mank), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), and Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams) star.
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “This is a horror movie that trusts its audience, while also delivering on practical effects-driven violence, methodically employed scares, and a biting sense of humor that’ll leave you squealing and squirming in equal measure.”
Cregger is considering a prequel centered on Madigan’s Aunt Gladys. But first, his Resident Evil movie is due out on September 18, 2026.
