The anime based on the science fiction / action manga World Trigger announced a “reboot” project today via an official social media post while also revealing a new teaser visual and a 15-second teaser trailer. No additional details about the reboot have been confirmed at the time of this reporting, although more information will be revealed at the Jump Festa 2026 event on December 20. Crunchyroll streams the previous three seasons of the World Trigger TV anime, and describes the story as follows: One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology and fights to protect this world.
