You’ve heard of home invasion, but what about workplace invasion?
Night of Violence blends brutal thrills and biting satire, confronting the real-world horrors of corporate greed and the human cost of the opioid crisis.
Following a major legal victory and the launch of their controversial drug Azlepta, a corporation’s celebration is cut short when masked townspeople posing as caterers launch a brutal attack.
Trapped inside their office tower, a handful of employees scramble to survive as they’re hunted down one by one in a relentless, coordinated assault. With no escape and nowhere safe, the survivors are forced to fight back and turn the tables in a desperate bid to make it through the night of violence.
Directed by Illya Konstantin from a script he co-wrote with Christopher Lang, the horror-thriller will have its world premiere at the opening night of FrightFest in London on August 21.
“This is my debut feature, and I didn’t want to play it safe,” commented Konstantin. “We shot fast, with heart, and with an incredible team of actors and crew who gave everything. It’s scrappy, angry, satirical, and violent but underneath all the madness is a question we’re still asking: What’s the price of survival in a world driven by profit?”
He continues, “I’ve always believed horror is one of the last great frontiers for fearless storytelling. If Night of Violence punches you in the gut and maybe makes you laugh nervously while it does, then we’ve done our job. We’re proud of this one.”
Kit Lang, Russ Russo, Abria Peralta, Gigi Gustin, Vince Benvenuto, Netta R. Sommerfeld, Caitlin Borek, and Mark Lubischer star.
