The official website for the summer 2025 TV anime Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! announced on August 11 that Yuhko Kaida (Tsukuyo in Gintama , Marida Cruz in MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM UNICORN ) will voice Jean, the protagonist Dennis' foster mother. Jean is the head chef of Blacks Restaurant. She took in the orphaned Dennis and became his foster parent, teaching him how to survive and how to cook. She is scheduled to appear in the anime's seventh episode to air in Japan on August 14. "I was given the role of Jean, a wonderful mentor and mother with great love and strength!" said Kaida. "The work itself is one that gives us strength, so I want to work with the other cast members and staff to make it even better.
