Developers The Astronauts have added more Early Access content to their dark fantasy FPS Witchfire, launching the highly-anticipated Webgrave Update. The new update adds a new, multi-layered region to scout and explore, a wealth of powerful new gear, a new system for expanding the Preyer’s abilities, new onboarding, and a number of fixes and quality improvements.
Webgrave introduces yet another location to a world dominated by the Witch. Known as Velmorne, this was once a town like any other, until its residents were twisted by witchcraft. Disfigured and unformed, they roam deserted corners and squares, and ambush any foolish enough to wander down its forgotten roads. The update also brings a long requested, comprehensive tutorial, set on a new map that precedes first visit to the Hermitory, and allows players returning to the world of Witchfire to refresh their memories.
Webgrave also brings a number of revamped mechanics for Witchfire:
- Workshop & Stats 2.0: The weapon & gear research system and player stats have been rebuilt for better clarity.
- Rosary Beads: A new system to customize the Preyer’s abilities, Rosary Beads, joins the game to give players new build options to discover.
- New Difficulty: Gnosis VI, an even higher difficulty level for those most advanced and versed in Preyer combat, raises the stakes for long-time players.

Witchfire is currently in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
