The official website for NACHERRY, the voice actor unit comprising Natsumi Murakami and Chiemi Tanaka, announced today that the unit will go on hiatus as of March 31, 2026. The statement reads: "We sincerely apologize for this sudden announcement. After extensive discussions among the members and staff, we have decided to suspend activities. We would be grateful if you could warmly support each member's future endeavors." NACHERRY was formed by two voice actors featured in the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club series — Natsumi Murakami (who voices Ai Miyashita) and Chiemi Tanaka (who voices Rina Tennoji) — in September 2021. The unit since then has released four CD singles, two digital singles, three mini-albums and one live album to date. Murakami said in her handwritten message about the group's hiatus: "I believe our feelings upon first hearing about the hiatus mirror yours. We couldn't fully grasp the situation and tried to figure out if there was anything we could do. But we can't keep looking gloomy forever. As NACHERRY, we want to stay true to who we are, smiling all the way, and run through every single moment with Chiemi Tanaka and all my NACHEMATE, cherishing each one until the very end." Tanaka also added, "NACHERRY is two people as one. That belief will never change. I'll run alongside Nacchan until the very end. And we still have feelings we want to share with you. We'd be grateful if you'd continue to watch over us warmly."
