Voice Actor Natsumi Murakami Temporary Restricts Activities due to Vocal Cord Inflammation

Voice actor agency YU-RIN PRO announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) on June 3 that voice actor Natsumi Murakami will temporarily restrict her activities due to vocal cord inflammation. Murakami made her voice acting debut in 2015 and is best known for her voice portrayals of Ako Saotome in Aiktatsu Stars! and Ai Miyashita in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club . The statement reads: "Natsumi Murakami, a member of our company, had been experiencing voice problems for several days, and after a visit to a medical institution due to worsening symptoms, she was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation, and under the guidance of her doctor, she has decided to temporarily restrict her activities that require heavy use of her voice." Murakami will continue to consult with her doctor and will work as much as she is able for a while to ensure that her future voice acting activities will not be affected. For events that were scheduled to take place in the near future, she will either cancel her appearance or change the content of the event so that she can perform to a reasonable extent. She also posted a message on her official X (formerly Twitter) : " I am truly sorry for the great concern and inconvenience I have caused to everyone involved and to my fans who support me. I will continue to work on my treatment in consultation with my doctor so that I can return to unrestricted activities as soon as possible…! Thank you so much to everyone who are dealing with the situation and who are always supporting me." Sources: YU-RIN PRO official X (formerly Twitter) , Natsumi Murakami official X
