Voice Actor Hiro Shimono Launches New Project with Pony Canyon

Voice actor Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ) announced on January 1 that he would launch a new project in collaboration with Japanese record company Pony Canyon. While performing as a voice actor, Shimono has also steadily built his solo artist career since 2016, releasing five singles (including three anime tie-in songs), one mini-album and one full album to date. This year marks a decade of his solo artist career. As the first phase of the project, his first best album "Symphonic Rock Remix Best" will release on March 4, 2026. The 10-song album will feature remixes and string arrangements of his hit songs, and the jacket photos will be newly shot. Additionally, the bonus Blu-ray for the album's Pony Canyon official store limited edition contains music videos for the six lead tracks from past singles, plus audio commentaries by Hiro Shimono and lyricist RUCCA for each song, and behind-the-scene footage of the jacket photo shooting. The second phase will be a reading play hosted by Shimono himself, held on May 9, 2026, at Nakano Zero Big Hall in Tokyo. The content features Shimono's role as Haruma Sakuragi from the Sauna Boys Reading Play "Sauna no Sa," which was held in March 2025. Co-starring are Daisuke Ono and Shunichi Toki, who also appeared in the previous reading play. The story is designed to be enjoyable not only for those who attended the previous play but also for first-time audience. Plans for the third phase and beyond are also currently underway. Stay tuned!
