VINLAND SAGA Manga to End with Chapter 220, According to Author Makoto Yukimura

VINLAND SAGA , the celebrated historical manga by Makoto Yukimura, will be coming to an end next month with its 220th chapter. The news came today via Yukimura's official X (formerly Twitter) account , in which he confirms the news ahead of the upcoming announcement in its home magazine, Monthly Afternoon. Yukimura notes that the final chapter will be published on July 25. The fans already know that we're taking a break this month and it's the last chapter!? As expected… Apologies for the late notice. Vinland Saga will be taking a break this month. The final installment will be Chapter 220, scheduled to be released on July 25. The announcement will be made in this month's Monthly Afternoon. The VINLAND SAGA manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Magazine on April 13, 2005, switching to Monthly Afternoon in December of the same year. The series, which consists of 28 volumes in print, also inspired an anime adaptation starting in 2019. The series has been praised by fans and critics alike and has won multiple prizes during its 20-year run, including the 36th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga in 2012.
