Universal Horror Unleashed will open August 14 in Las Vegas, featuring four immersive houses that’ll be open year-round. Think of it like Halloween Horror Nights, all year long!
But the fun isn’t being limited to Las Vegas…
Universal Studios has announced this afternoon that Universal Horror Unleashed is expanding to include a second location in Chicago, Illinois, with more details being announced soon!
The new, indoor venue will open in Chicago, chosen for its large population and reputation as one of the country’s leading destinations for tourism and entertainment.
The press release details, “Expanding the Universal Horror Unleashed brand is a key part of Universal’s broader growth strategy to reach new audiences, in new markets, through new and original concepts. The upcoming venue will be located on Chicago Avenue at the former Tribune Distribution Center, situated between the River North and West Town districts.”
This marks Universal’s first branded experience in the Midwest.

This original concept combines Universal’s deep expertise in the horror genre with next-level storytelling to deliver a truly unforgettable experience. The year-round concept will deliver immersive, horror-centric entertainment that goes beyond the theme parks, bringing spine-chilling thrills, terrifying environments, and unforgettable scares to guests. The horror will also extend to the food and beverage offerings, with themed craft cocktails and bites, as well as a retail location with unique collectible merchandise and more.
Universal Horror Unleashed first opens in Las Vegas at the AREA15 District on August 14.
In addition to Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer, the Las Vegas attractions include Universal Monsters, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Scarecrow: The Reaping.
Tickets for Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas are on sale now, with general admission starting at $69 ($59 for Nevada residents) and unlimited access for $99.
