Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba’s The Vermilion Mask manga is officially coming to the screen. Yomiuri TV’s Anime Expo 2025 panel delivered the news today, and while there’s currently no release date in place they did reveal the main staff and a subtitled promotional video. Tetsuaki Watanabe ( BLUE LOCK Season 1) directs, with Gai Hazako as assistant director at anime production house 100studio. Daisuke Ohigashi ( Fate/strange Fake ) is on series composition, Hisashi Higashijima ( MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES ) handles story supervision and character designs, Fumiyuki Goh ( Kaiju No. 8 ) is the sound director and Arisa Okehazama ( JUJUTSU KAISEN ) composes the music. According to Watanabe, the authors have been “directly involved in story development and scripting from the early stages.” The director promises something newcomers and fans alike will be able to enjoy.
