Japanese publisher Starts Publishing Corporation announced today that Fukufuku's isekai fantasy light novel series The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune (known as Fuun kara no Saikyou Otoko in Japan) will receive a TV anime adaptation. Fukufuku serialized the original version of the novel on the Japanese novel self-publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou from 2017. Starts Publishing Corporation started publishing the novel series featuring illustrations by Zunn Nakabayashi in March 2022, releasing four volumes to date. Nakabayashi has also worked on the novel's manga adaptation, which has released eight volumes since March 2022. The cumulative number of copies published in the entire series, including print and digital editions of manga and novel, has surpassed 1.5 million copies. The novel author Fukufuku shared the following comment: Hello everyone, I'm Fukufuku. I'm thrilled to announce that "The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune" is getting an anime adaptation! "Luck attracts opportunities. If you seize them, your wishes come true"—true to those words, I've firmly grasped this chance for an anime adaptation.
