Netmarble previously locked in a January 28, 2026 launch for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin , the open-world action-RPG based on the manga by Nakaba Suzuki. Those plans have changed, with feedback from the closed beta test leading to a delay that pushes launch back to sometime this March. According to the announcement , the feedback that came through was “far more extensive and in-depth than our development team had anticipated.” The team cited the following as key areas that were most consistently identified as needing improvement: Controls: Feedback that character handling felt somewhat unresponsive, and that movement and targeting were inconvenient. Combat System: Feedback that the difficulty felt excessive, and that combat tempo and skill response speed were too slow. UI/UX: Feedback that the menu structure was complex, making it difficult to find desired features intuitively. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is currently in the works for PlayStation 5, iOS, Android and PC (Steam). Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes it like so: When they were accused of trying to overthrow the monarchy, the feared warriors the Seven Deadly Sins were sent into exile. Princess Elizabeth discovers the truth—the Sins were framed by the king’s guard, the Holy Knights—too late to prevent them from assassinating her father and seizing the throne! Now the princess is on the run, seeking the Sins to help her reclaim the kingdom. But the first Sin she meets, Meliodas, is a little innkeeper with a talking pig. He doesn’t even have a real sword! Have the legends of the Sins’ strength been exaggerated…? Prepare to get swept away by an epic fantasy story and colorful cast of characters that will rewrite the history of manga as we know it!
