The Luck of the Irish Runs Out in St. Patrick’s Day Serial Killer Thriller ‘Kill Me I’m Irish’

The luck of the Irish runs out in Kill Me I’m Irish, a serial killer thriller set against the backdrop of New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

The film follows Detective Michaels, a haunted NYPD investigator who has spent six years tracking a serial killer targeting Irish women. As the killer circles his next victim, Detective Michaels teams up with rookie Officer Rodriguez in a desperate race against time to stop the murders.

Irish-born filmmaker Simon Phillips writes and directs in addition to playing the elusive serial killer. Nick Biskupek, Sienna Star, and Shayna Burns also star.

Sean Irvine, Douglas Vermeeren, Michael Vassi, Nathan Yee, Damir Kovic, Zeus Fleming, Skylar Nangreaves, and Brie Burke round out the cast.

Kill Me I’m Irish takes the familiar serial killer genre and turns it inside out,” says Phillips. “What starts as a cat-and-mouse thriller becomes a deeper exploration of guilt, faith, and redemption set against the vibrant backdrop of St. Patrick’s Day in New York.”

He continues, “This is a film about how tradition can be twisted into something monstrous, and how true justice comes not from revenge, but from the courage to face our demons. We’re using the holiday’s iconic imagery—the green, the celebration, the sense of community—to create something genuinely unsettling while never losing sight of the human story at its core.”

Kiss Me I’m Irish is aiming for a worldwide release in 2026 through Dystopian Films.
