The film also released in Japan with Japanese subtitles in the same month, then its Japanese dub version followed in November 2021. The Legend of Hei 2 , a sequel film set two years after the first film, is scheduled to release both in Japanese sub and dub in Japan on November 7, 2025. All of the main Japanese voice cast members, including Kana Hanazawa, Mamoru Miyano, and Inori Minase, are confirmed to return.
