The upcoming theatrical anime film based on the fantasy light novel series The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE Yotsuba Succession Arc revealed a new piece of artwork (above) today. The film will screen in Japanese theaters in 2026. The Irregular at Magic High School was originally published from October 2008 to March 2011 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, and ASCII Media works also published a 32-volume print edition in Japan under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. Tsutomu Sato writes and Kana Ishida illustrates the series. Yen Press also publishes an English language version of the series. Jimmy Stone directs the new movie at animation studio eightbit, with music by Taku Iwasaki.
