The Food Diary of Miss Maid Anime Announced for 2026 Premiere

Susumu Maeya's slice-of-life manga series The Food Diary of Miss Maid ( Maid-san wa Taberudake in Japan) will receive an anime adaptation in 2026. The anime's official website and X (formerly Twitter) opened today with a teaser trailer and visual featuring the protagonist maid, Suzume Tachibana. The Food Diary of Miss Maid Teaser Trailer The manga author Susumu Maeya also posted a celebratory illustration and a message: "An anime adaptation has been decided! Thank you very much to all of our readers and everyone involved. It is filled with the cuteness of Suzume and other characters that couldn't be expressed in the manga, so I hope I will enjoy watching the broadcast with you. Thank you very much!" Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury ) is cast as Suzume Tachibana, who is originally a maid at a mansion in England. While visiting Japan, the mansion collapsed, so she decided to stay in Japan for a while. She is interested in Japanese food and is trying new foods every day. Ichinose shared the following comment on her role: I am Kana Ichinose, and I will be playing the role of Suzume. I read the original manga for the first time during the audition, and I was healed by Suzume-chan who spends her calm and casual daily life. Her fresh reactions to food are always so cute! Susume Maeya's original The Food Diary of Miss Maid manga has been serialized on Kodansha's Comic Days digital platform since December 2019, releasing four collective volumes to date.
