The TV anime based on the mystery / adventure / romantic comedy light novel series The Detective Is Already Dead revealed today that the second season of the series will broadcast in Japan in 2026. A new teaser visual was also published for the series. Media Factory publishes the original The Detective Is Already light novels in Japan under their MF Bunko imprint. nigozyu writes and Umibouzu illustrates the series. Yen Press also publishes English language versions of the series and the manga adaptation with artwork by Mugiko. Manabu Kurihara directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio ENGI with assistant direction from Shinichi Fukumoto. Deko Akao provides the series composition, Yosuke Ito provides the character designs and Yuuyu, Naoki Tani and Tatsuya Yano provide the music.
