Ahead of a February 27, 2026 theatrical release in Japan, the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea anime film today released a brand-new trailer previewing a seaside adventure and the film's theme song, "Utopia" by series regular TRUE. The new key visual below was also released. Crunchyroll announced in October that it will bring That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea to theaters worldwide (excluding most Asian territories), with a release date to be announced. The new film marks the second theatrical outing for Rimuru and crew after That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond debuted in 2022 in Japan, followed by a theatrical release via Crunchyroll in January 2023. Crunchyroll streams the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series, and Scarlet Bond movie, in Japanese with subtitles and dubbed formats, and describes the anime series: Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world.
