Developer DALOAR (the folks behind The Occultist) have announced another title currently in development with their first-person psychological horror game, Frame Zero. Currently in development for PC for release “mid-2027“, the announcement includes a trailer that, while void of gameplay, sets the stage for a terrifying experience.
The story for Frame Zero concerns renowned exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth, who had died under mysterious circumstances. Journalist Emma Sullivan and her cameraman Daniel Foster visit his apartment complex to film a report and speak with neighbors. However, despite strange noises inside the complex, no one answers the door.
After Emma and Daniel enter the building, they soon discover the residents dead, while in Amorth’s apartment, they uncover the truth: Amorth had hidden a possessed girl away in his apartment for decades, trying to save her after the Church had abandoned her, but she had died mid-ritual.
The girl, now a blind, monstrous entity, has been freed and has killed everyone in the complex. Emma disappears, leaving Daniel, armed only with his camera, to navigate the building and escape before he too becomes a victim of the entity.
