Supernatural Thriller ‘Banquet’ Adds ’28 Years Later’ Alfie Williams and More to Cast

28 Years Later breakout Alfie Williams is among the latest to join supernatural thriller Banquet from The Platform director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.

Corey Mylchreest (“The Sandman”), Finbar Lynch (Hedda, Unwelcome), and Olwen Fouéré (The Watchers, Mandy) also join the cast that includes previously announced lead Meghann Fahy (Drop).

Fahy will play “Jenny Cochrane, a woman whose perfect life is shattered by the return of her estranged son, which reawakens a terrifying secret buried in her bloodline.”

That secret, along with additional plot details, remain under wraps. But the cast is quickly becoming stacked with genre talent and it’s worth noting that Gaztelu-Urrutia’s feature debut, The Platform, became one of Netflix’s all-time top ten most watched films upcon release and received a sequel last year.

Banquet is based on an original screenplay from writer Sam Steiner (Fingernails).

Lewis Taylor for Magna Studios, Maxime Cottray and Guy Danella from XYZ Films, and Leonara Darby and James Harris of Teashop Productions (Obsession) are producing alongside Grant S. Johnson for Project Infinity.

David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2) will executive-produce under his banner Wychwood Media alongside Florian Zeller (The Father) and Federica Sainte-Rose for Blue Morning Pictures.

Production is currently underway in the UK.
