Toei's “Project R.E.D.” initiative revealed two new teaser images (depicting heroes in silver and gold armor) as well as a brief teaser trailer for the upcoming Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity , the recently announced tokusatsu TV series that will broadcast in Japan on TV Asahi on Sundays at 9:30JST beginning in 2026. The video, which you can see below the visuals, also quickly shows the silver and gold armor, as well as some shots of the previously-teased red suit. RELATED: Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity Tokusatsu Series Announced for 2026 The original Space Sheriff Gavan series kicked off the appropriately named Metal Hero franchise when it aired in Japan from March 1982 to February 1983. The series stars Kenji Ohba, an actor/stuntman who also had roles in tokusatsu series like Battle Fever J and Denshi Sentai Denjiman , among others. As the titular Gavan, he defended Earth against the invading Makuu over the course of 44 episodes full of explosions, transforming spaceships and eye-scorching optical effects. Series that followed include the likes of Space Sheriff Sharivan (1983-1984), Space Sheriff Shaider (1984-1985), Megabeast Investigator Juspion (1985-1986) and more. Discotek Media publishes the original 1982 – 1983 Space Sheriff Gavan series on home video in the United States, and describes the story: SERVING SPACE JUSTICE ON EARTH!
