An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account opened today announced a new original anime series from studio P.A.WORKS titled Towa no Yugure , which will air in the Super Animeism TURBO broadcast slot from October 2025 . A teaser trailer and visual were unveiled, along with main cast and staff details. The visual's tagline translates to, "We made a promise 200 years ago, but my partner was supposed to be you, not you." Yoshiko Saito ( Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation ) adapts Midori Tayama's ( Girl Crush manga) original character designs for animation and Masahiro Tokuda ( DECA-DENCE ) is composing the music. Project FT is credited with the original work. The story of Towa no Yugure follows Akira, who falls into a coma and wakes up in the ruined city of a future world where AI technology has greatly progressed, an organization called OWEL controls the population and a new system called "Elsie" has supplanted marriage. An android named Yugure, who resembles Akira's beloved girlfriend Towasa, approaches Akira and asks him to marry her.
