Following the first album in 2023, Ghibli wo Utau: Sono 2 ("Singing Ghibli Part 2"), the second tribute album of songs from Studio Ghibli works, is set to release in Japan on November 19, 2025. As with the first, Satoshi Takebe — a composer, arranger and music producer who composed soundtrack music for From Up on Poppy Hil and Earwig and the Witch — serves as the producer again. "The project was started with the hope that not only Studio Ghibli films but also music and songs would be handed down to the next generation," said Takebe. "I hope you all enjoy listening to the music, remembering your favorite scenes and singing together."
