Two recent theatrical releases have made their at-home debuts this week, with both Shelby Oaks and Queens of the Dead now available on Digital outlets for Tuesday, November 11.
Released by NEON, Shelby Oaks is of course the feature directorial debut of popular YouTube movie critic Chris Stuckmann, and the film was executive produced by Mike Flanagan.
A traditional narrative that incorporates found footage elements, Shelby Oaks scared up $5 million in theaters for the Halloween season, and you can now experience the horror at home.
Shelby Oaks is about missing paranormal investigators, the dark legacy they uncovered, and the far-reaching effects their investigation has as Mia searches for her sister Riley, the lead paranormal investigator, 12 years later. The film’s official synopsis continues…
“As Mia uncovers new and disturbing leads related to Riley’s disappearance, she uncovers evidence of a hidden supernatural evil dating all the way back to her and Riley’s childhood.”
Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, and Robin Bartlett star.

Speaking of feature directorial debuts, Tina Romero made hers this year with horror-comedy Queens of the Dead, and the “big gay zombie movie” (Tina’s words) is now available at home.
Tina Romero is the daughter of the late horror master George A. Romero, who was of course also the father of the modern day zombie movie as we know it. In Queens of the Dead, which hit theaters for Halloween, Tina Romero puts her own fresh spin on her dad’s iconic creation.
In Queens of the Dead, “a zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn on the night of a giant warehouse party, where an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies must put aside their drama and use their unique skills to fight against the brain-thirsty undead.”
Katy O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding), Margaret Cho (Fire Island), Jack Haven (I Saw The TV Glow) and Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) star. The cast also includes Nina West (Drag Race), Jaquel Spivey (Mean Girls), Tomas Matos (Fire Island), Quincy Dunn-Baker (No Hard Feelings), Becca Blackwell (Bros), Shaunette Renée Wilson (Black Panther), Dominique Jackson (Pose), Riki Lindhome (Knives Out), and Eve Lindley (Bros).
