Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 Shows Off New Animation in Main Trailer

The brass band of Kita Uji High School that we have been following for the past decade will make its last melody in the upcoming Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie saga. The first film of the multi-part story got its main trailer today, showing off some of the new animation that director Ogawa previously teased. Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 Main Trailer Taichi Ogawa ( Sound! Euphonium: May the Melody Reach You! ) takes over full directorial duties for  The Final Movie   with series director Tatsuya Ishihara stepping up as chief director for the films. The film's story compiles the third anime season, with new animation and scenes, some of which are shown in the above trailer. Part 1 opens in Japan on April 24. The rest of the staff from the third season continue in their roles, with Jukki Hanada as series composer, Shoko Ikeda and Kazumi Ikeda as character designers with Kazumi also as chief animation director and music from Akito Matsuda in cooperation with Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and Progressive! Wind Orchestra. The anime continues to be produced at Kyoto Animation. Sound! Euphonium ’s TV anime seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll, including the third season, which is being compiled into these final films. Crunchyroll describes the full series as such: Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind.
