Ushijima the Loan Shark author Shohei Manabe's Kujo no Taizai ("Kujo's Deadly Sins") legal drama manga will receive a live-action adaptation. Netflix will start streaming the series worldwide in the spring of 2026. The manga has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits seinen manga magazine since October 2020, and its latest 15th collective volume is set to release in Japan on October 30. The series has surpassed four million copies in print. The story centers on Taiza Kujo (the manga's title is a pun of his name), a lawyer who will employ every means necessary to defend any client, no matter how wicked. Yuya Yagira (Toshiro Hijikata in the Gintama live-action film series) is cast as the protagonist, Taiza Kujo, while Hokuto Matsumura (idol group SixTONES member) plays Kujo's associate lawyer, Shinji Karasuma. The other main cast members include Elaiza Ikeda, Keita Machida, Takuma Otoo, and Tsuyoshi Muro.
