Sheila Atim Will Play ‘Queen of the Damned’ Akasha for AMC Series ‘The Vampire Lestat’

The upcoming third season of AMC’s “Interview with the Vampire” is officially titled “The Vampire Lestat,and we’ve got some exciting casting news this weekend.

We’ve learned that Sheila Atim (The Woman King) has been cast as Akasha in “The Vampire Lestat,” the character played by Aaliyah in 2002 movie Queen of the Damned.

Additionally, Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), Ryan Kattner (Destroy All Neighbors), Seamus Patterson (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities) and Sarah Swire (The Boys) have joined the series for the third season. Deadline reports, “Noah Reid plays Larry, Ryan Kattner plays Salamander, Seamus Patterson is Alex, and Sarah Swire is TC.”

“The Vampire Lestat” will sink its fangs into AMC sometime in 2026.

The third season is based on Anne Rice’s novel The Vampire Lestat. In Season 3, Lestat (Sam Reid) sets his story straight in a way only he can—by starting a band and going on tour.

AMC previews, “Returning in 2026, season three of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire will feature Vampire Lestat headlining as the most immortal rockstar the world has ever seen.”

Rolin Jones is the creator, writer and showrunner of AMC’s vampire series.

The network’s “Immortal Universe” also includes the series “Mayfair Witches,” which recently wrapped its second season. AMC’s “The Talamasca” will also be launching this month.
