An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account opened today announced that an anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori's Wash It All Away slice-of-life manga is in the works for a planned 2026 broadcast. The below teaser visual was unveiled, along with production staff details and the casting of Sayumi Suzushiro (Himari in Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? ) as Wakana Kinme. Wash It All Away Teaser Visual RELATED: Whoever Steals This Book Anime Film Announced for 2026 Release Mitsuru Hattori's ( Sankarea ) Wash It All Away manga was serialized in Young Gangan magazine from July 2017 to June 2023, and spans ten collected volumes. Kenta Onishi ( Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included ) directs the Wash It All Away anime at studio Okuruto Noboru, with series composition by Toko Machida ( Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan ) and character designs by Azuma Tozawa ( Hell's Paradise animation director). Square Enix publishes an official English version of the original manga and describes the story: For two years, Wakana Kinme has run a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami. Kinme Cleaning is a well-loved business, and Atami residents admire Wakana's devotion to her trade. She builds a fulfilling life making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs.
