Ahead of an October 3 broadcast, the SANDA anime today announced the casting of Masako Nozawa (Goku in Dragon Ball ) as Toyo Tetsudome. A new character trailer was also released. SANDA Toyo Character Trailer RELATED: SANDA TV Anime Reveals Opening, Ending Theme Songs in Main Trailer Tomohisa Shimoyama ( YUREI DECO Opens in a new tab ) directs the SANDA anime at studio Science SARU, with series composition and scripts by Kimiko Ueno ( Delicious in Dungeon ), character designs and chief animation direction by Masamichi Ishiyama ( Scott Pilgrim Takes Off ) and music by Tomoyuki Tanaka. Paru Itagaki created the original manga. Amazon Prime Video will stream the series outside Japan, and describes the story: In near-future Japan with ultra-low birthrates, children are treasured but monitored. Santa is banned as dangerous. One snowy December 25th, middle-schooler Kazushige Sanda, descendant of Santa, is attacked by classmate Fuyumura who wants him to find her missing friend, Ono. "Santa, please find my friend."
