It’s almost that time of year again for Epic Games’ Fortnite to get its Halloween on with the annual Fortnitemares event. And while nothing’s been confirmed as of yet as to who’s crossing over this year, various dataminers and notable leakers have been speculating that Scooby-Doo and the gang will be appearing this year, alongside Ghostface and Jason Voorhees.
As with anything of this nature, none of this has been confirmed by Epic Games, so take it all with a grain of salt.
Anyway, noted Fortnite leaker HYPEX has posted earlier this week about Scooby-Doo crossing over this year. Shaggy will purportedly have multiple skins, and you’ll be able to use a Mystery Machine SUV. Meanwhile, Ghostface has also been mentioned, particularly after the leaked “Stalker Knife” item was datamined by Fortnite leaker Wensoing last month. Wensoing had also found data pertaining to Jason Voorhees in the form of a Medallion, codenamed “InjuredPrey”.
Apart from the veracity of these leaks, the next question would be just when we’d be getting a glimpse of this year’s Fortnitemares event. Recent Fornitemares events have kicked off closer to the middle of October, and ran for three weeks. Epic of course would keep things quiet until the very week of the event, so we still have a bit of time before anything official.
