They saved the best for last with Summer Game Fest, as Capcom has finally revealed the ninth entry in mainline Resident Evil series with Resident Evil: Requiem! The game will arrive February 27 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. Best of all, the game’s demo will be playable at this year’s Gamescom!
Touted as a shift for the franchise in both tone and feel, with “cinematic high stakes action,” Resident Evil: Requiem has been rumoured and teased over the past couple of year, with Capcom getting in on the fun last month with the Resident Evil 4 remake’s milestone. Requiem will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, so we can probably expect more from Capcom regarding the celebration around that time.
