The new adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's classic manga Ranma 1/2 has locked in an October 4 premiere date! The series returns for more anything goes martial arts hijinks, complete with new opening and ending theme songs. First, though, the creators of the series have released a four-minute "catch-up" video to help you keep pace with the series so far. Nishina, who also performed the ending theme for 2023's Dog Signal , will perform new ending theme "Panda Girl." Shogakukan serialized the original Ranma 1/2 manga from August 1987 – March 1996 in their Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. VIZ Media also publishes an English-language version of the series. Konosuke Ueda directs the newest TV anime at animation studio MAPPA, with Kimiko Ueno providing the series composition, Hiromi Taniguchi on the character designs and Kaoru Wada on music. The first season is currently streaming on Netflix. VIZ Media releases the original Ranma 1/2 manga in English, describing the first volume thus: Years ago, Genma promised his old friend Soun Tendo that Ranma would marry one of Soun’s three daughters and carry on the family’s martial arts school.
