What's next for the new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2 ? A large-scale exhibition! Coming to Tokyo this spring, the event will celebrate major moments from the modern take on the series. A visual for the event has been released, featuring Ranma and Akane on a vintage TV while P-chan looks on: Ranma 1/2 Anime Exhibition Key Visual So far, we know that the exhibition will include looks back at important scenes from the series, photo spots and a selection of original merchandise. More information will be available in the near future. The exhibition will run from April 23 to May 12 at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall A in Tokyo. Shogakukan serialized the original Ranma 1/2 manga from August 1987 to March 1996 in their Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. VIZ Media also publishes an English-language version of the series. Konosuke Uda directs the newest TV anime at animation studio MAPPA, with Kimiko Ueno providing the series composition, Hiromi Taniguchi on the character designs and Kaoru Wada on music. Both seasons are currently streaming on Netflix. VIZ describes the classic series thus: Years ago, Genma promised his old friend Soun Tendo that Ranma would marry one of Soun’s three daughters and carry on the family’s martial arts school.
