REMOW revealed today that Toshiaki Iwashiro's psychic battle action manga PSYREN will be adapted into a TV anime scheduled to broadcast in Japan in 2026. An official website and social media channels were published for the production along with the main staff, key cast members and a teaser trailer and teaser art. Katsumi Ono directs the TV anime at animation studio SATELIGHT, with series composition by Shin Yoshida, character designs by Akira Okuma and music by Takashi Ohmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki and Shu Kanematsu. Shueisha serialized the original PSYREN manga in their Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 2007 to November 2010, and the series was also released in 16 collected volumes. VIZ Media publishes an English-language version of the series. The story of PSYREN is described as follows: One day, high schooler Ageha Yoshina picks up a mysterious “red phone card” left behind in a public telephone booth. A few days later, his childhood friend and classmate, Sakurako Amamiya — who possessed the same card — suddenly vanishes without a trace. In search of her, Ageha finds himself drawn into the rumors surrounding a nationwide string of mysterious disappearances, said to be the work of a secret organization known only as “Psyren.” When he accesses the group, a deadly game begins—one that will change his fate forever.
