Psychological Horror Game ‘The Vineyard Massacre’ Creeps to Halloween Release [Trailer]

For those that enjoy a fine wine with their horror, developer Sindria World has announced that its first-person psychological horror title The Vineyard Massacre will be coming to Steam this Halloween. In the meantime, you can enjoy the demo during Steam Next Fest.

The Vineyard Massacre takes place within Sangnoire Mansion. What was once a home for aristocrats and now a staff residence has turned into slaughterhouse. You play as Marie, a young worker caught in a surreal and brutal night. What begins as routine ends in horror when Julien Sangnoire, once the respected patron of the vineyard, turns on his staff in a fit of madness and frenzy of bloody violence. With no clear motive, Marie must hide, survive, and navigate the estate’s puzzles and secrets — while being relentlessly hunted by Julien, whose behavior constantly evolves.

Seeing as the game takes place at a vineyard, players will make use of a mechanic called The Spiritual-Vine Mechanism. Players will drink to remember, as wine unlocks supernatural moments — disturbing visions, hidden clues, and brief glimpses into the past. However, in doing so, your reality becomes distorted if you drink too much.

In addition to avoiding Mr. Sangnoire, players will encounter puzzles inspired by real 1920s technology, with each puzzle feeling handcrafted and woven into the world. And as mentioned, Mr. Sangnoire adapts his tactics in his pursuit of Marie. He listens, learns, and tracks, “pushing stealth and unpredictability to new levels.”
