Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru Fantasy Light Novel Gets Anime Adaptation in October

The official YouTube channel for the Animation ID project has started streaming a teaser trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of the Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru (literally translated to "Potions saves my life") fantasy light novel series created by Akira Iwafune (story) and Sunaho Tobe (illustrations). The clip also confirmed that the anime is set to premiere in October 2025. Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru Teaser Trailer Iwafune's original Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru novel series was serialized on the Japanese novel self-publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou from April 2014 to September 2024. Japanese publisher Imagica Infos started publishing the novel's print edition in April 2015, releasing ten volumes to date. The novel's manga adaptation is also illustrated by Sunaho Tobe. The anime adaptation is the newest entry from Animation ID's "Light Anime" series, following Moriarty's Perfect Crime in the summer of 2024, Maarui Kanojo to Zannen na Kareshi in the fall of 2024, Lockdown Zone: Level X in the winter of 2025, and the ongoing With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess in the summer of 2025. Mikiko Furukawa ( Moriarty's Perfect Crime ) serves as the director, along side sound director Yuichi Imaizumi. bermei.inazawa provides the music, and Imagica Infos and Imageworks Studio co-work on anime production. The synopsis reads: Kaede, an ordinary high school girl, wakes up in an unfamiliar alleyway. It is a mysterious another filled with beastmen, elves, and dragons. Kaede noticed an unfamiliar book in the backpack she was carrying. It was a mysterious book that could create potions simply by chanting the word “creation”! For Kaede, who had been thrust into this another world, the potions she created became the sustenance that supported her life.
