‘Pig Hill’ – New Horror Movie from ‘Willy’s Wonderland’ Director Acquired for Screambox

Fresh off the film’s FrightFest premiere earlier this summer, Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have picked up U.S. distribution rights to Pig Hill from Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland, The Accursed) and Concourse Media for our Screambox streaming platform.

In Pig Hill, Carrie (Rainey Qualley), a girl haunted by the mysterious disappearances of women in her small town, becomes embroiled in a dark tale of family betrayal and horror. As Carrie and her brother (Shiloh Fernandez) investigate the folklore surrounding the so-called “pig people,” she uncovers a terrifying truth about their family.

As she fights for survival in a twisted game of cat and mouse, Carrie and her friend Andy (Shane West) realize that the legends of Pig Hill are rooted in a gruesome reality, ultimately leading to a violent confrontation that reveals the depths of madness and the lengths Carrie will go to reclaim her life.

Produced by Marty Schiff, R.A. Mihailoff, and Kevin Lewis, and executive produced by Ted Watts Jr. alongside Matthew Shreder of Concourse Media, the film was written by Jarrod Burris and based on the novel Pig by Nancy Williams.

“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Cineverse on this truly terrifying film,” said Matthew Shreder, Concourse Media CEO. “With their deep connection to genre fans, Cineverse is perfectly positioned to bring this edgy, retro horror story to U.S. audiences who are going to love every chilling moment.”

“We’re delighted to bring Kevin Lewis’ twisted and visceral Pig Hill to legions of genre fans on Screambox,” said Dan Fisher, Cineverse Vice President, Acquisitions.
