Original Kamen Rider Hiroshi Fujioka Joins Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider Anime

The upcoming TV anime based on the tokusatsu-themed seinen manga Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider announced today that actor Hiroshi Fujioka is reprising his classic role as the original Kamen Rider, Takeshi Hongo , in the first episode of the show. The series broadcasts in Japan beginning on October 4. Crunchyroll will also stream the series as part of the fall 2025 anime simulcast lineup . The series also published a short comment video in which Fujioka and voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi (the voice of protagonist Tenzaburo Tojima in the series) talk about the experience of recording and share their memories of Kamen Rider . Hero's Inc. currently publishes the manga in their Comiplex digital manga magazine. Takehiro Ikezoe directs the anime adaptation at animation studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Toko Machida, character designs by Cindy H. Yamauchi and music by TeddyLoid. The story of Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider follows Tanzaburo Tojima, a 40-year-old man who is abnormally obsessed with the Kamen Rider franchise.
