In case you missed it, Moon Studios is set to release a co-op multiplayer update later this week for No Rest for the Wicked, their souls-like dark fantasy RPG that’s currently in Early Access on Steam. Moon Studios has followed that up with a little update on the game’s sales, announcing that the game has already eclipsed one million in sales.
“1 MILLION copies sold on Steam! You believed in Wicked during Early Access and helped us build it into what it is today,” reads a short message from the devteam. “That’s not something we take lightly. Thank you for standing with us and for all your support!””
As mentioned, the co-op update, “No Rest for the Wicked Together”, will launch January 22. The update reimagines traditional co-op multiplayer play of current ARPGs and MMORPGS, allowing up to four players to share a free, persistent Realm without the need for a host to be online. Shared upgrades to the game’s souls-like combat lets enemies react naturally (and desperately) to being cornered or outnumbered, and new hand-picked enemy locations allows for plenty of surprises.
In No Rest for the Wicked, players take on the role of a “Cerim,” a member of a holy order imbued with mysterious powers, tasked with destroying the Pestilence, an ancient plague that has begun to consume the island Isola Sacra, itself already the site of great political upheaval and death.
