Slitherine’s RTS based on the Terminator franchise in Terminator: Dark Fate — Defiance just had a brand-new DLC drop with Uprising. Available now on Steam, the DLC brings with it a “bold evolution” with the all-new Conquest Mode. This massive, freeform campaign gives players full strategic freedom, blending dynamic faction behavior, tactical decision-making, and deep resource management across a living, ever-changing battlefield.
The DLC introduces a freeform sandbox campaign where players must build the Resistance across a 22-sector strategic map. The game world evolves around you in real time, shaped by your decisions, and the various factions in the game—Legion, Cartel, Integrators, Movement and Marauders—fighting, defending and expanding independently.
Each of the 22 sectors offers its own tactical map, with four of them being brand-new, with having unique strategic rewards. Losing or controlling key sectors means elimination for the faction. Isolated regions from key sectors risk falling into the hands of the Marauders. Legion, however, cannot be isolated: they will always be a threat.
The new mode also introduces resource management, as supply and manpower are fundamental. Sectors provide daily income and increase storage limits and even with low resources, the army stays operational, but will require planning and rearming.
Set in the Terminator: Dark Fate cinematic universe, Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance sees surviving humans fight for their existence against the all-powerful synthetic intelligent machine network known as Legion. However, the greatest threat may not come from the ravaging machines, but from bands of other human survivors.
