New Magic Knight Rayearth Anime Reveals 2026 Broadcast, Teaser Visual

It's been a long wait for fresh details about the new Magic Knight Rayearth anime that was first revealed in July 2024 , but the day has finally come for fans of CLAMP's classic isekai series. The anime's official website today shared the below teaser visual depicting Hikaru, Umi and Fuu at Tokyo Tower — where the trio first meet — and set their return to Japanese television for 2026 . Additional details about the project, such as production staff and cast, are yet to be confirmed as of reporting. Kodansha USA releases both the first and second English versions of the manga. Toshihiro Hirano directed the anime series at TMS Entertainment from 1994 to 1995 for a total of 49 episodes. The three-part OVA Rayearth was released in 1997, directed at Keitaro Motonaga and Toshiki Hirano also at TMS Entertainment. Crunchyroll currently streams the original Magic Knight Rayearth anime and describes the series: Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji aren't from Cephiro.
