The new upcoming anime adaptation of the Fist of the North Star manga released a brand-new key visual today, depicting Kenshiro clenching his fists alongside Lin and Bat, while Yuria and Shin appear in the background. The series is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in 2026, but fans who can't wait will be able to tune into the Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star comedy spin-off series later today in Japan. Buronson wrote and Tetsuo Hara illustrated the series, which was also released in 27 collected volumes. VIZ Media publishes an English-language version. The series has previously been adapted into numerous anime and video games, a 1995 live-action film (starring Gary Daniels), and even a musical stage play. Hiroshi Maeda directs the newest anime adaptation at animation studio TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Kazuhiko Inukai, character designs by Naoki Hisatsune, assistant direction by Kazuma Ogasawara, animation direction by Koji and music by Yuki Hayashi. NIA Animation and Kishida Studio BACU provide animation production assistance.
