After receiving its Duo Expeditions mode last month, Elden Ring Nightreign will be receiving another update next month with the high-difficulty Expedition mode “Deep of Night” on September 11. The new mode is specifically designed for those seasoned players who have run through the game numerous times, and are looking for a new challenge.
Per From Software and Bandai Namco, the “Deep of Night” mode features stronger enemies, for starters. In addition, you will not be able to specify the target Nightlord, and ongoing terrain changes are not reflected.
There will be specific special items available in “Deep of Night”, such as Depths Relics, and weapons with multiple additional, but also detrimental, effects will also be available.
Still not tough enough? As you play through “Deep of Night” and win, you will descend to deeper depth levels, eventually reaching Depth 5. However, Depth 4 and Depth 5 also feature an endless battle. Losing during a run will push you back up to easier Depths.
Elden Ring Nightreign is currently available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and the Xbox One.
