With Blumhouse Games and developer EYES OUT having announced a December 2 release for their psychedelic horror adventure title SLEEP AWAKE a few weeks back, the teams have just released a new gameplay trailer.
Narrated by Blumhouse Games Creative Lead Louise Blain and co-Creative Director (and Nine Inch Nails touring member) Robin Finck, the trailer delves into near the beginning of the game, where player protagonist Katja is traversing across the last known city on earth known as The Crush to deliver an anti-sleep infusion drug. Along the way, Katja must navigate around and avoid members of the DTM, or the Delta Transport Ministry, who are looking to subjugate the remaining populace of The Crush.
SLEEP AWAKE is an immersive first-person psychedelic horror narrative experience that explores the realm between sleep and death. In a desperate attempt to remain awake, the denizens of the last known city on Earth are reaching a panic crisis of reckless experiments in their effort to avoid The HUSH, the inexplicable disappearance of those who sleep. As Katja, players must survive the devotees of various depraved death cults and desperately try to stay awake. Solve the puzzles of this mysterious world in an attempt to shatter the horrors of the past.
