The upcoming My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's TV anime series published a new piece of key art for the series today, following the previous release of a new trailer on July 16 . The series broadcasts in Japan beginning in October 2025. The series began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou in January 2017. Japanese publisher Overlap began releasing the novel's print edition featuring illustrations by Tozai in its Overlap Bunko imprint starting November 2017, with four volumes available in Japan to date. The novel's manga adaptation, illustrated by Hiroyuki Aigamo, began on the publisher's Comic Gardo website in July 2018, with six volumes released to date. Nobuyoshi Habara directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio Sunrise. Kunihiko Okada ( Yowamushi Pedal ) provides the series composition, Hirona Okada ( Gundam Build Metaverse ) and Kaoru Saito ( Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury ) provide the character designs, Rihiro Yamane ( The Brave Express Might Gaine ) provides the monster designs and Satoshi Igarashi ( TOKYO LOGIC ) provides the music.
