My Dress-Up Darling is back next month with more romance, more cuteness, and more cosplay! Today, the series has locked in a performer for its new ending theme: the brand-new special idol unit PiKi. The duo consists of Karen Matsumoto of FRUITS ZIPPER and Haruka Sakuraba of CUTIE STREET. The show's ending theme will be their first song, "Kawaii Kaiwai," which you can sample over on the duo's official TikTok . According to Sakuraba, a self-professed fan of the series, the lyrics embody Marin's dedication to both love and cosplay. To celebrate the announcement, series animator Saki Takahashi released this new piece of artwork depicting Marin and PiKi: RELATED: My Dress-Up Darling Season 2, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 and More Anime to Stream on Crunchyroll Keisuke Shinohara ( BLACKFOX ) directed the My Dress-Up Darling anime's first season at studio CloverWorks, with Yoriko Tomita ( The Elusive Samurai ) on series composition, Kazumasa Ishida on character designs and Takeshi Nakatsuka ( The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody ) on music. The series is based on the manga by Shinichi Fukuda. Crunchyroll streams the first season of the series and will stream the second season starting next month, describing the upcoming season thus: When Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo met, they grew close over their love for cosplay. Through interacting with classmates and making new cosplay friends, Marin and Wakana’s world keeps growing.
