To commemorate the theatrical release of the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved anime movie today in Japan, the movie's official X (formerly Twitter) posted a special collaboration visual co-drawn by the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid original manga author Coolkyousinnjya and the anime's character designer Miku Kadowaki . The visual features Kanna, Kobayashi, Tohru, and Iruru, drawn by Coolkyousinnjya, and Kimun Kamui and Azad, drawn by Kadowaki, who are glaring at each other, looking like they are about to start a battle. And additional voice cast members were also revealed — Shinya Takahashi (Lizardman in Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! ) as the middle-aged fairy, who also appeared in the second season of the TV anime, and Azusa Tadokoro (Aoi Kiriya in Aikatsu! ) as the fairy girl. Tatsuya Ishihara directs the film at animation studio Kyoto Animation. Yuka Yamada provides the script and Miku Kadowaki provides the character designs and serves as chief animation director. As previously reported, Crunchyroll has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights (excluding Asia) for the film from Kyoto Animation. The movie will release in Japanese with English subtitles in North America. Crunchyroll streams both previous seasons of the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid TV anime, and describes the movie: Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna, and Iruru's peaceful lives are shattered when Kanna’s father, Kamun Kamui, leader of the Chaos Forces, arrives and forces her to return to the Dragon World to fix a past mistake.
