The 4K restoration edition of the 1995 sci-fi anime anthology MEMORIES will be screened for a limited time of two weeks starting November 28 at 64 theaters in Japan. This revival screenings are planned as the 30th anniversary for the film. Seven years after AKIRA shocked the world, the film based on three short stories by Katsuhiro Otomo released in Japan December 28, 1995. Otomo also served as executive producer and directed one of the thee episodes, Cannon Fodder by himself. The other two episodes, Magnetic Rose and Stink Bomber , were directed by Koji Morimoto ( The Animatrix – Beyond ) and Tensai Okamura ( Blue Exorcist ), respectively.
