Katsuhiro Otomo’s 1995 anthology project Memories is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the three anime short films are being screened in Japan over the Winter season, including a special one-week-only 35mm film screening in Ikebukuro in January. A brand new visual was created to commemorate the anniversary screenings. Koji Morimoto directed Magnetic Rose at Studio 4°C from a script by Satoshi Kon. Tensai Okamura directed Stink Bomb at MADHOUSE with a script by Katsuhiro Otomo. Cannon Fodder was directed and written by Otomo at Studio 4°C. The anthology was initially released in Japan on December 23, 1995 to critical acclaim, particularly for Magnetic Rose .
